League Cup Final

U13's 0 - 9 Celtic

Paisley Saints brought a large travelling support with them for this League Cup Final against League Champions Celtic. In the end it was Celtic that came out on top with an emphatic 0-9 win. Although, losing an early goal, Saints did manage to hold Celtic for much of the first half with notable performances from Emma Fox and Captain Lauren Kerr. Three strikes within the last 5 minutes saw Celtic go to the break 4 up although Saints Abby Park had seen an effort come back off the upright on the stroke of half time.

Half time 0 - 4

Paisleys chances were limited and Celtic had the bit between their teeth adding five more to their tally within the first 15 minutes. To their credit Saints did not let their heads go down and battled to the end without any further loss. On reflection, this result should take nothing away from the excellent season the girls have enjoyed, scoring over 100 goals and missing out on 2nd place in the League by a solitary point.
